Pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of the EU Regulation No. 2016/679 (“Regulation or GDPR”) and Legislative Decree No. 196/2003 (“Privacy Code”), we hereby illustrate the management methods of this website in relation to the processing of the Personal Data of persons accessing it as users (“User”) and the use of cookies.

This document refers exclusively to the website https://www.giobert.com/it/home and not to any other websites consulted by the User through links contained therein.

Data controller

The Data Controller of the Personal Data collected on the Site is the company Giobert S.p.A. (Fiscal Code and VAT no.: 09948100012) with registered office in Rivoli (TO), Via Pavia no. 82 – 10098 (Italy).

Place of processing

The site is hosted on machines managed by an external company and located in Italy.

Navigation data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this Site acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.

This information is collected in order to be associated with identified interested parties, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with other data, make it possible to trace and identify Users.

This category of data includes IP addresses, the domain names of the computers and terminals used by Users, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) or URL (Uniform Resourse Locator) addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the User’s operating system and computer environment.

Data provided voluntarily by the user

The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of electronic mail to the addresses indicated on this site for the purpose of sending “contact” requests entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, which is necessary in order to reply to any requests, as well as any other data and information included in the message.

The Regulations and the Privacy Code state that sensitive data and so-called “special” data (i.e. data revealing racial or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, political opinions, trade union membership, data concerning health or sex life, as well as genetic, biometric and sexual orientation data) may be legitimately processed with the explicit consent of the data subject for one or more specific purposes or in one of the other cases provided for by law.

Those who intend to submit requests for information are requested not to include any sensitive and/or particular data in the same.

Purposes of data processing

Navigation data

Browsing data are used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on access to and use of the Site and to check its correct functioning, and will therefore be deleted immediately after processing. Such data could be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of any computer crimes to the detriment of this Site. Without prejudice to the latter hypothesis, data on web contacts do not persist for more than seven days.

Data provided voluntarily by the user

The personal data provided by Users who send contact requests are used for the sole purpose of fulfilling the requests they have made and are communicated to third parties only if necessary for this purpose.

The ‘legal basis’ within the meaning of the Regulation that legitimises the processing of Users’ data is the consent given by the person concerned for the execution of their request.

Refusal to provide personal data

The provision of personal data is optional. However, refusal to provide it may make it impossible for the Data Controller to respond to Users’ requests. 

Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text strings that sites visited by the User send to his/her terminal (usually to the browser), where they are stored and then transmitted to the same sites the next time the same User visits.

Use of so-called navigation technical cookies

Giobert uses so-called technical navigation cookies, which are not permanently stored on the User’s computer and disappear when the browser is closed, for the sole purpose of transmitting the session identification data (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to allow safe and efficient navigation within the Site.

The use of technical cookies does not involve the acquisition and/or transmission, by the Site, of information of a personal nature of the User.

The use of technical cookies on the Site avoids the use of other computer techniques potentially prejudicial to the confidentiality of the Users’ navigation and does not allow the acquisition of the User’s personal identification data.

Use of so-called analytics cookies for statistical purposes

Giobert may also resort to the use of so-called analytics cookies, which allow the Data Controller to collect information, in aggregate form, in order to monitor and analyse traffic data on its Site (e.g. the number of Users visiting the Site) and the User’s browsing behaviour.

These cookies are used for the purpose of processing general statistics on the service and its use by Users.

The cookies in question are made available by the web analysis service provided by Google INC and named Google Analytics. Google uses the collected personal data for the purpose of tracking and examining the use of this website, compiling reports and sharing them with other services developed by Google. The data provided to Google Analytics will use the “IP anonymisation” function provided by Google, thus guaranteeing anonymous browsing and preventing your browsing from being traced back to a specific User. Use of so-called third-party cookies

While browsing the Site, the User may also receive cookies on his/her terminal that are sent by different sites or web servers (so-called “third parties”), on which some elements (such as, for example, images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages of other domains) present on the site he/she is visiting may reside.

Giobert does not have access to the data collected and processed independently by the third parties.

How to disable cookies

The User can delete all the cookies already present on the computer and set almost all browsers to block their installation. If the User chooses this option, he/she will have to manually modify certain preferences each time he/she visits the Site and it is possible that some services or certain functions of the Site may become unavailable. In particular, the User can delete all the cookies that are on his device by deleting the browsing history of the browser: by doing so, all the cookies of all the sites visited will be deleted.

Processing methods and data retention criteria

Personal data are processed within Giobert with automated tools for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they have been collected as well as, where applicable, for the periods of time provided for by specific legal provisions.

Giobert adopts specific security measures to prevent the loss of data, unlawful and/or incorrect use, as well as any unauthorised access.

Communication and dissemination of data

Personal data provided on the Site in the manner and for the purposes set out above by the User are not subject to profiling or dissemination practices; nor will they be communicated abroad.

Period of storage of personal data

Personal data will in any case be kept no longer than the period necessary to achieve the purposes for which the data were collected.

Rights of data subjects

Pursuant to Articles 15-22 of the GDPR, data subjects may exercise the following rights at any time:

right of access to personal data;

right to obtain rectification of incorrect personal data and request their deletion;

right to prevent or restrict processing of their personal data;

right to object to the processing of personal data;

right to data portability, applicable only to data in electronic format.
